- The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions between Casalena Limited (Company Number: 15594507) of 37 High Street, Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, EN6 5AJ (“we” and “us”) and the customer (“you”).

- The information provided when using the Services is not intended for distribution to or use by any person or entity in any jurisdiction or country where such distribution or use would be contrary to law or regulation or which would subject us to any registration requirement within such jurisdiction or country. Accordingly, those persons who choose to access the Services from other locations do so on their initiative and are solely responsible for compliance with local laws, if and to the extent local laws are applicable.
- There may be information on the Services that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions, including descriptions, pricing, availability, and various other information. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions and to change or update the information on the Services at any time, without prior notice.
Services / Products
- All products are subject to availability, and we cannot guarantee that items will be in stock. We reserve the right to discontinue any products at any time for any reason. Prices for all products are subject to change.
- You must ensure you have ordered at least 10% extra for "cuts & waste". The odd chip, pitting and imperfection are normal. Tilers will use these in the cuts.
- All orders are dispatched on pallets and are delivered to the “Kerbside" - the driver, at his/her discretion, might move the pallet onto your property. They will not take any part of the order into your property.
- All deliveries are subject to our standard T&Cs (see website) and are made using 3rd party hauliers - please do not book tilers for the day of delivery as we cannot guarantee the date and time of delivery. Standard deliveries are between 7 am and 6 pm.
- Orders must be opened at the point of delivery and inspected for damage. Any damage must be noted on the delivery note at the time. The driver is contracted to wait for a maximum of 20 minutes for you to do this. Please follow the instructions on the large "Check Goods" sticker - DO NOT SIGN UNCHECKED!
- If you are not the person accepting the delivery, you must notify the recipient of the above information for them to receive the order correctly.
- All tiles assumed approx. 6-12mm thick unless otherwise specified. Tile suppliers have a tolerance of 5mm on the tile size, however they will all be the same size
- It should be noted that in industrial-style colours, marble effects, and many other products, there can be colour and pattern variation across the actual individual tiles themselves.
- We may accept returns of tiles, subject to a 25% handling charge within 14 days from the point of sale. We will only accept full boxes in good saleable condition and must be subject to shades of returned goods being the same as current stocks and batch numbers in the warehouse. Special order tiles will not be taken back under any conditions. There is no cooling off period once the order is placed. You will be responsible for paying the shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
- It should be noted that on industrial style colours, marble effects and many other ceramic/porcelain products, there can be colour and pattern variation across the actual individual tiles/slabs themselves. So even joints between pieces cut from the same tiles/slab can have significant differences in colour and pattern.
- The order remains the property of Casalena Ltd until the final balance has been paid.
Porcelain tiles are inherently not perfectly flat due to the challenges encountered during the firing process, particularly in maintaining flatness during the shrinkage phase.
To address this issue, ISO tolerances have been established. According to these standards, warpage is permitted within a range of 0.5% of the tile's length. Any deviation beyond this threshold is considered a defect.
For instance, on a 1200mm long porcelain tile, a warpage of up to 6mm is acceptable within these standards. Please refer to the attached simple chart for guidance on measuring warpage.
For instance, when dealing with a 1200mm long porcelain tile, we anticipate the warpage to ideally remain below 2-4mm, rather than reaching the maximum allowable limit of 6mm.
To clarify further: this measurement of 2-4mm applies to each side when using a spirit level positioned at the centre of the tile - as illustrated in the attached diagram above.
It's important to recognize that achieving absolute flatness in porcelain tiles is challenging. Different production batches may vary slightly in curvature, but generally, some degree of bowing is typical in porcelain tiles.
Consequently, laying oblong tiles in a 50% brick bond pattern while maintaining a perfectly flush surface is difficult. Therefore, our recommendation for installation on an adhesive bed includes two precautions:
Firstly, we advise offsetting oblong porcelain tiles by no more than 30%.
